Walton Development and Management Supports GKTW

GKTW announced today that Walton Development and Management (WDM) has made a $10,000 donation to Give Kids The World Village (GKTW), enabling more kids with life-threatening illnesses and their families to visit the Village and experience free weeklong vacations.

O-Town MacDown, Mac-and-cheese Competition, to Benefit Give Kids The World

Gather the family and come sample some amazing mac-and-cheese while determining the Mac-and-Cheese Kings and Queens of Central Florida, all to benefit kids with life-threatening illnesses.

The inaugural O-Town MacDown Presented by SeaWorld will be held at the Orange County Convention Center on Saturday, August 23 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

“Coasting For Kids” Gives Everyone a Way to Support Children With Life-Threatening Illnesses

Roller coaster enthusiasts, thrill-seekers and even timid people with big hearts are making plans to participate in Cedar Fair’s 6th Annual Coasting For Kids event, which raised over $159,000 for Give Kids The World (GKTW) in 2013.

Extreme Village Makeover a Tremendous Success for Give Kids The World Village

It took more than 500 contractors, 7,500 volunteer hours and 29 tractor trailers to make  Give Kids The World’s (GKTW) “Extreme Village Makeover” a tremendous success. GKTW followed the lead of its partner, Wyndham Vacation Ownership, to renovate 88 villas in a magical two week period in January 2014.

Give Kids The World Receives Florida Green Lodging Program Designation

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has awarded Give Kids The World a “3 Palm” designation as part of its Florida Green Lodging Program.  GKTW first earned a 1 Palm designation in 2009 and the 3 Palm recognition is evidence of its increased efforts to enhance green initiatives to be as environmentally conscious as possible.

Give Kids The World Takes on “Extreme Village Makeover”

It will take 4,000 gallons of paint, 3,000 electrical outlets and light switches, and 100,000 sq. ft. of flooring material, and that’s only the start of what will be needed for the Give Kids The World “Extreme Village Makeover” set for January 12-25, 2014.
